Film Poster Analysis

Both of these are set in earth but have a futuristic feel to them.

Both of them are the same sort of colours to make them look more like a sic-fi movie. They are using dark blues, black and white. These are unnatural colours as they wouldn't really be seen in day to day life. Also because they are based on earth they have used colours that would be a connotation of death, darkness and emptiness which will also give the futuristic feel to these movie posters.

The type face is import on any film poster  because it needs to make them film look interesting but it has to relate to what genre of film it is. Because these movies are sic-fi then the type face used has a futuristic effect to them. Blade's type face has a metal and sharp effect to it as in the film there are lots of sharp weapons and lots of silver as it is about killing vampires. Alien vs Predator type face has a very futuristic feel to it as it is about an aliens try to reach the earth surface from the centre of the earth and the predators are deployed to stop them.

The body language of the characters in the poster of Blade makes them look mean and not to be messed with them. Also Blade who is the main character is placed centre in the poster because he is the most important character in the whole of the film.

The body language of the characters in the poster of Alien vs Predator also make them look mean but also makes the alien look as if he is getting ready to attack the predator but the predator is make to look calm.

Synopsis Of A Movie Poster

Genre : Sci-Fi/ Action

A mad scientist has been working on a secret experiment to try and perfect the art of cloning so he would be able to bribe the US government into millions of dollars. The government hires an ex-FBI agent assassin to kill a mad scientist who is working on extremely dangerous experiments in genetic engineering to be able to clone hundreds of thousands of people to go to war with the world if the US government don't pay the money that he wants.

But when the assassin arrives at the mad scientist’s secret lab hundreds of miles out at sea, the assassin discovers that the scientist has cloned himself dozens and dozens of times.

As the assassin starts to fight through all of the clones he realises that the scientist has simply cloned himself because he is testing how strong the clones are so that he will be able to improve them so that they will be able to fight the world. Suddenly the assassin notices the scientist running to a control panel and before he knew it he was pushing a button and there was a rumble and the lab exploded up in flames with the cloning formula inside.
