From reading the synopsis for the film, what genre of film do you think it is?  Please give reasons for your answer.
1. Mum: I think that the genre of this movie is Action as there is some of the characters that are involved are characters that you would typically find in an action movie such as: FBI Agents, Assassins and U.S Government.

2. Nan: I think that the genre of this movie is mainly Science- Fiction because the mad scientist is a character which you would find in some of the sci-fi movies. Also the idea of using a cloning formula made me immediately think of something that would be involved in a sci-fi movie.

3. Brother: I think that it is a mixture sci-fi and action because the way that the synopsis comes across as a sci-fi movie but the characters that are involved in the movie could be both involved in a sci-fi and an action movie.

What impression do you get regarding the possible poster for the film? Think about what you would normally expect on a poster for this kind of film.

1. Mum: I would expect the movie poster to have a picture of a man in a suit running away from either an explosion or from a group of cloned mad scientists. Also I would expect there to be a bold title in a colour that would stand out to anyone who sort it in the corner of their eye.

2. Nan: I would expect the movie poster to have a picture of the earth as in the synopsis it talks about him saving the lives of people and either a split picture of the face one half of the mad scientist and the other half of the assassin or a picture duplicated to show that the movie is about cloning.

3. Brother: I would expect the movie poster to include a release date of the movie and a main title that would stand out from other movie that are being promoted. I think that the poster for this movie should include either a background of an American setting or a photo of laboratory where the mad scientist would be working in.

What are your first impressions of the poster and DVD cover?  Please consider the following in your answer: Choice of image / choice of fonts / colour scheme used / page layout.
1. Mum: Very good choice of colours and font. They both stand out and would grab the attention of anybody walking past it and see it and would also grab the interest of people who are into both sci-fi and action movies.

2. Nan: There is a great layout on the page and looks very professional. Also a great choice of images on both the DVD Cover and the movie poster. The way that you are looking through a face onto the computers with the matrix on is very effective and also stands out as there are not many DVDs that would have that effect on them.

3. Brother: The colour scheme that is used is continuous used through the movie poster onto the DVD cover and the colours used would standout to anybody who would notice it on a billboard on at a bus station. The DVD cover would stand out the most as the effect of looking through the face onto the computers hasn't really been used before.

From your knowledge of the synopsis, do you think the poster drafts suit the film?  Please give reasons with regards to the designs.
1. Mum: I think that the poster and dvd drafts both suit the synopsis of the film as they both used the imagery that I thought would resemble the synopsis and the meaning of the movie.

2. Nan: I think that both the poster and dvd deaths suit the synopsis as the images used both relate back to the synopsis quite well and they were the images that I would have expected to see on them.

3. Brother: I think that both of the drafts are related well to the synopsis as the images that are used in both the DVD and movie poster re relevant to the synopsis and help create what the movie is about.
